A complete dental system needs a compressor to operate so clinics with an external air source may plug into that, but that can limit where the system can be positioned, and also mean another hose across the floor. A key benefit of having a unit with a built-in compressor is the portability factor – clinics can wheel the system into any room where they need it and simply plug it into power.

While a separate compressor can be utilised, these are harder to manoeuvre and can be bulky and noisy. Compressors supplied by MQ Vet are quieter than most used in this set up and generally have higher capacity with a better air reservoir than most.

A key to optimise ultrasonic scaler performance is to utilise the scaler tip most suited to your application.
